We are San Diego Argonauts, San Diego’s premier community of radio-controlled (RC) model boating enthusiasts since 1959. Our mission is to celebrate and promote the art, craft, and excitement of RC model boating, from leisurely cruising to competitive racing.
Join us at the scenic San Diego Model Boat Pond for a variety of activities, including regattas, competitions, casual play sessions, social gatherings, and hands-on learning events. Whether you’re an experienced hobbyist or just starting out, you’ll find a welcoming community ready to share the joy of model boating with you!
The San Diego Model Boat Pond is home to our Scale Boat, Sailboat, and Powerboat divisions, each with dedicated weekly times to keep the water lively.
Scale Boats: Saturdays 9AM –12PM
Sailboats: Wed 11AM– 2PM, & Sat 12–4 PM
Powerboats: Sunday mornings
